Here are a few of our favorite brands that offer veterans and active military discounts all year round and also give back to a good cause.
Year-Round Veteran Discounts
Apple offers a 10% discount products and accessories for current and veteran members of the U.S. Military, National Guard and Reserve plus immediate family members who reside in the same household.
They also support several give back initiatives including ConnectED where they pledged $100 million in teaching solutions to 114 underserved schools in the U.S. including donating an iPad to every student, a Mac and iPad to every teacher, and an Apple TV to every classroom.
Brooklyn Bedding offers 25% off + free shipping for military, veterans, and eligible military family members.
They also provide sleep products and new mattresses for children in need, foster care families and transitional housing organizations.
Carhartt offers a 25% discount on apparel and accessories for members of the Military, First Responder and Nursing communities.
They also support organizations that help inspire, educate, and train the next generation of workers and have donated nearly $700,000 to organizations such as The Future Farmers of America, Skills USA, and the National Park Foundation amongst others.
Lowe's offers a 10% discount to active duty, retired and military veterans and their spouses on eligible items. Some exclusions apply.
They have several give back initiatives including supporting veteran’s organizations such as the USO, AMVETS and Operation FINALLY HOME. In 2020 alone, Lowe’s invested $150 million in local communities through nonprofits.
The NFLShop.com is offering a 15% discount for military, First Responders, their spouses, and their immediate families.
Shop their Salute To Service Camo Collection and all profits go to support the NFL’s military nonprofit partners for which more than $51 million has been raised since 2011.
Under Armour now has a 40% discount (for a limited time only, otherwise it’s regularly 20%) for veterans, military, their spouses, and immediate family in addition to First Responders and healthcare workers.
Through their partnership with Project Rock, they support the Travis Manion Foundation’s “Character Does Matter” program that connects veterans and young people for mentorship and leadership development.

Many businesses are offering discounts or free stuff on Veterans Day, November 11, 2021. Here are just a few that stood out to us because these businesses also give back…
Applebee’s – Free full-size entrée from an exclusive menu for all active military, veterans, Reserves and National Guard. Dine-in only in participating locations.
BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse – Free entrée from a select menu for all current and former military members. Dine-in only.
Dunkin’ Donuts – Free donut at participating locations for veterans and active military.
Great Clips – Free haircut or free haircut card on Nov. 11 for veterans and active military. Non-military customers can also pay-it-forward. If they get a haircut that day, they will receive a free haircut card to give to an active service member or veteran as a thank you.
Publix – Save 10% on groceries on Nov. 11 for veterans, active military personnel and immediate families. Some exclusions apply.
Starbucks – Free tall (12 oz.) hot brewed coffee on Nov. 11 for veterans, military service members and military spouses. Plus, for every hot brewed coffee sold that day, they are donating 25 cents to charities that support the mental health of military communities.
TOPS – Save 11% at TOPS markets for veterans, active military personnel. Some exclusions apply.
Walgreens – Save 20% from Nov. 11-14 on regular price eligible store items at any Walgreens or Duane Reade store for veterans, military, and their families. Some exclusions apply.
