Pecan pie with a bourbon and chocolate twist!
Ingredients: · ⅔ cup white sugar · 1 cup corn syrup · 2 tablespoons bourbon whiskey · 3 eggs · ⅓ cup melted butter · ½ teaspoon salt · 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans · 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, more if sprinkling on top after baked · 1 (9 inch) refrigerated pie crust |
1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
2. Beat sugar, corn syrup, bourbon, eggs, melted butter, and salt together in a mixing bowl until smooth and creamy. Fold in pecans and chocolate chips. Pour mixture into pie crust. If desired, cover the edges of pie with aluminum foil strips to prevent excessive browning.
3. Bake in the preheated oven until the center is set, about 50 minutes. If desired, sprinkle some chocolate chips on top while pie is still warm from the oven. Cool before serving.
